The School

This is a long established and respected School of Languages with more than 30 years of experience in teaching English to foreign students.

It is a small school - small enough that the staff know the students individually, and the management takes care to ensure that  there is a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The staff are fully qualified and highly motivated and the school places strong emphasis on teacher training and takes pride in a strong team work ethos.

The school is located in a fine building about 5 minutes walk from the harbour and Railway station in Dunlaoghaire and 15 minutes by rail from Dublin city centre. The school has been completely refurbished and renovated to the highest standards and includes:

•           7 large bright classrooms

•           Outdoor patio

•           Free WIFI access for all students

•           Student computers with free internet access

•           Relaxation area (with free tea and coffee)

•           Student kitchen.

There are even regular free English classes in the afternoons!

TEACHERS

All our teachers are fully qualified as per the Department of Education regulations for teaching English as a foreign language. There is on-going training for them which ensures that they are fully aware of the latest developments in the theory and practice of teaching English. They make up a motivated, friendly team that works with the students on a personal basis. All our teachers (and staff) understand that the experience of learning English is not only about classroom time and so they regularly socialise with the students.

We believe that learning English should not stop once you leave the classroom and so we offer 2 social activities per week, which are free (except for entrance fees) and open for all students to attend.

Activities include:

•           Guinness Factory visit

•           Traditional Irish pub nights

•           Museums

•           Irish Dancing nights

•           Walking tour of the city etc.

These activities are lead by Diane, our Social Co-ordinator who accompanies the students on all outings and makes sure that English is the common language!

STUDENT WELFARE

In addition to having the benefit of our thirty years of experience in teaching English, students will be able to consult our Student Coordinator about any aspect of living, working or sightseeing in Ireland. The Student Coordinator is constantly on hand to deal with any problems or questions you may have and to provide general information. The Student Coordinator is there to help students to find accommodation (host families, etc…), guide them with CVs and job seeking as well as other day to day issues, as they arise (opening bank accounts, personal tax etc.)

We pride ourselves on maintaining good personal relationships with all of our students.
